MOTION BY: Councilor Kazanjian,
+
seconded by Councilor Campagnone to approve.
+
+
Councilor Grayton said he is happy to see this moving forward and see this commission put together.
+
Forest Lake is a gem and it’s been neglected for far too long.
+
If you look at the resumes, some of the people almost seem overqualified and really for what we are asking them to do, it’s really impressive.
+
They’re willing to get their hands dirty in their own neighborhoods.
+
Most of them live on the lake.
+
It’s just encouraging to see and might be a slower process than people hope but hopefully we can see some change and some improvements down there.
+
Mayor Zanni said he appreciates Councilor Grayton’s comments.
+
There was a commission back in the 80’s and for some reason this commission was done away with during the Town Manager form of government.
+
Now it’s back on the books.
+
He will meet with the commission and they’ll have direct access to the Mayor and the Council.
+
It is a jewel of a lake and it’s been neglected for thirty or forty years.
+
There are some plans in the works for the spring.
+
+
UPON VOTE: UNANIMOUS.
