FOREST LAKE ASSOCIATION MEETING <br> WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 19, 2008 - 7:00 P.M. <br> President Michael Condon called the meeting to order. <br> All in attendance rose for the Pledge of Allegiance.<br> President Condon stated the reason for this meeting is to decide if the Forest Lake Association will move forward. Both President Condon and Vice President Al Torrisi spoke of what the Forest Lake Association had accomplished over the years, and asked anyone in attendance if they had any ideas of what should happen in the future with the Association. Many ideas and suggestions were talked about, such as; <br> Gerry McCall spoke about the testing being done on the lake by state and local officials. Jack Burke has a web page which will include information about Forest Lake Association. He is also a member of MCTV 22 and will post power points on that. David Aufiero stated The City of Methuen has been excellent when push came to shove on dealing with issues at the Lake. Greg Doyle asked, what is Forest Lakes Mission Statement? Bill Patnaude suggested a PR person would be great for the Association. He mentioned Steve Whipple from the Methuen Life Magazine. Kevin Flatley mentioned that these are all great issues and should be discussed at the next meeting in front of a larger crowd, with the hopes that people who could answer some of the questions be in attendance. (Health Department, Conservation Department or D.E.P.) Councilor Steve Zanni stated that at the next meeting we should put together all concerns, decide what are the most important issues and start from there, this would be very productive. Chris Dibella suggested keeping things basic. Form a membership committee, get organized and structured. Cheryl Flatley and Councilor Jeanne Papparlardo will make phone calls to follow up and remind some of the residents about the next meeting. '''Motion By:''' David Aufiero seconded by Councilor Jeanne Papparlardo to keep The Forest Lake Association on going. Vote: Unanimous '''Motion By:''' Vice President Torrisi seconded by President Condon that Councilor Jennifer Kannan be acting secretary until next meeting when a full board will be nominated. Vote: Unanimous '''Motion By:''' Vice President Torrisi seconded by Councilor Jeanne Papparlardo to have Gerry McCall and Dave Aufiero as the Association’s Information Committee. Vote: Unanimous President Condon asked when are we going to meet again.<br> Wayne Couture suggested Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 6:00 pm at The Sweetheart Inn.<br> Inclement weather date: Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 6:00 pm at The Sweetheart Inn <br> '''Motion By:''' Councilor Jeanne Papparlardo seconded by Jack Burke for the dates of the next meeting.<br> Vote: Unanimous '''Motion By:''' Vice President Torrisi seconded by Councilor Steve Zanni to reimburse Lee-Ann Condon for stamps from letters already sent out. ($25.00)<br> Vice President Torrisi also indicated that a $20.00 reimbursement should be given to President Condon for coffee and pastries provided at the meetings.<br> Vote: Unanimous Agenda Items to be discussed at the next meeting:<br> Election of Officers Long term Lake Management Program Vice President Torrisi will give us an update on what we have in the kitty. Concerns regarding why the gate was left open when the lake was closed due to high bacteria levels. Have someone from the Board of Health and the D.E.P in attendance.
