The lake is a good resource and hopefully we can raise some money. Then wished all elected good luck. A member asked whether we could still host the meetings at The Sweetheart Inn. Mike Condon replied, yes. He would also like to see two fundraisers if possible, one at the Inn and one on the lake. Al Torrisi mentioned there were a lot of people who helped out the association along the way that are not present tonight. He suggested if we can get them together that would be great. He said Joe Giarrusso was a big help also. Gerry McCall said this year we were way up on our precipitation according to data. He said we had a very serious situation last year with the beach being left open. Who is responsible to make sure this does not happen, Board of Health or Recreation Dept? Mike Condon- That was a one time issue. It happens, it was rectified, and we are not here to criticize. Bill Patenaude- This must be absolutely monitored. Gerry McCall- We do not need another major liability lawsuit. He said he spoke to a micro-biologist who said he would be willing to come and speak at a meeting. Al Torrisi- That sounds good, if anyone else knows of anyone who would like to be a guest speaker, invite them. David Aufiero- Does anyone know about the Dam? There were many calls to the conservation department and no response. The pad lock was unlocked and the conservation officer did respond, he mentioned he thought it was locked and indeed did come out to lock it. David also mentioned people created a path along Bumpy Lane and now there are some flooding issues there. He stated the town may already be aware of this but just wanted to bring it to the association’s attention for follow-up. THE KEY- Gate keeper duty was given to Kevin Moury’s department. Assistant gate keeper was Joe Giarrusso. But Joe doesn’t have a key. Someone in the Association should also have a key. There should be a duplicate made. There seems to be an issue with the key. New members should look into this. Al Torrisi- If someone talks to Joe, we can solve this issue. Al said he used to be the Gate Keeper. Gerry McCall- The association should invite the Mayor, City Council, shareholders from around the lake. They should all be involved. Jack Burke- I did invite Director of Public Health, he will send out another invite because there was not enough notice. Health Department has plans to rectify. David Aufiero Mike Condon- New members can prioritize. They can communicate with the city and handle problems as they arise. Not throw blame around. Last year was a tough year on the lake. Jeanne Papparlardo stated that on April 6, 2009 put all your brush near the street the DPW will be coming around to pick-up. Deb Quinn mentioned that if you need to know more information regarding pick-up it can be found on the city web site. Deb Quinn also suggested the association host a Fishing Derby. She said she will look into liability issues and get back to the association, Kevin Flatley- Maybe we can have an April meeting with new officers. Al Torrisi- Does the end of the month work for everyone? Next Meeting set for Wednesday April 22, 2009 @ 6:30 PM at The Sweet Heart Inn. Al Torrisi made motion to adjourn. Steve Zanni seconded.
